"She giveth and she taketh away" was said at some point by all throughout the annual pilgrimage to the mighty Missouri River. With water flows and weather patterns changing throughout our trips, we got to experience the "MO" in all of her moods. What an amazing river.
It was a crowded river this June due to the quality of fishing as well as displaced guides from regions that were gorged with water, leaving those guides with paying clients and unfishable home water. Thanks to all the local guides and fly shops for allowing us to share that amazing resource with our clients. It sets a great example for the rest of Montana's destination fisheries.
A huge thanks to the folks that joined us to fish. We are looking forward to seeing you again in #craiglandia .

Fortunately, the snow keeps stacking up in the high country with our recent spring storms.
That got us thinking. How high will our beloved Flathead River get this year? Here is a great chance to have a little prediction fun and support some great organizations that care about our local waterways.
Please take a moment to participate and send in your predictions. Link in bio.

Scary stuff is happening on one of Montana’s most hallowed rivers. Our hearts go out to local anglers, guides, and outfitters in the area. If you live in the vicinity of the upper Madison River consider helping out. Good luck out there folks.

We took a little hiatus, AKA breather, AKA “jumped on the wagon” from the social media world this summer. Focusing on the day to day guiding operations and more importantly our angling clients surpassed the importance of social media.
The craziness of the 2021 summer has subsided. The meager boat traffic on the water, the lack of guide’s boats parked in front @larysfly as well as Northwest Montana’s amazing fall colors are a powerful reminder that things are starting to slow down. Although we aren’t done guiding yet, its time to roll up rafts, winterize motors, and stock up on fly tying materials for the long winter ahead.
This annual change in pace is welcomed by our bodies and minds but there is no doubt that in a short amount of time we will be jonesing to get back on the water with our angling clients we now call friends.
We couldn’t of asked for a better season and we thank you all for allowing us to live out our dreams on the water.
