Born and raised in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains I began my love affair with fishing at an early age. One of my first memories in life is watching my grandfather catch a rainbow trout from the Little River in Tennessee. Once he put the brilliantly colored trout back into the river I was mesmerized as it disappear into the clear water. From then, I was smitten with trout and have made it a life’s passion. This passion has led my guiding career from Colorado to Alaska, Montana and Patagonia, Chile. In all the magnificent trout streams that my guiding career has taken me I always searched for that one river to not just guide on, but to grow old on. That place is the Flathead River.
